And it is not just about appearances. During heavy rain, parts of Mandurah become flooded because of poor drainage systems. Streets become unsafe. Roads get blocked. Businesses suffer. This isn’t just inconvenient – it is unacceptable.
As your Mayor, I will lead a bold plan to revitalise our city and fix what is broken.
Here’s what I will deliver:
- A citywide beautification plan: clean-up crews, verge maintenance, graffiti removal, and upgrades to tired infrastructure.
- Better street drainage: I will prioritise fixing blocked or outdated stormwater systems, so our roads stay clear and safe during rainy seasons.
- Vibrant public spaces: investment in murals, art installations, and park upgrades that reflect the spirit of our community.
- Fair distribution of improvements: every suburb and every ward will get its share, not just the city centre.
I believe the way a city looks reflects the way it’s led. A clean, safe, and well-maintained environment lifts our mood, strengthens our economy, and boosts community pride.
