Why This Election Matters

This October, Mandurah has a real chance to change direction

Every year, millions of ratepayer funds are spent, yet we are still asking the same
questions:

We deserve answers. More than that, we deserve leadership that listens and delivers.

A Mayor for the People - Not for Politics or Profit

Being Mayor isn’t just about chairing meetings; it is about standing up for Mandurah.

Under the Local Government Act, the mayor is Mandurah’s official voice ,with the authority to advocate to the State and Federal governments. That Voice should never be controlled by political parties or driven by personal business interests.

Since becoming a Councillor in 2019, I have chosen to remain completely independent – not
just from political parties, but also from social, sporting, and community clubs.

Why? Because I want to avoid any conflict of interest or pressure. I want to be free to work
for everyone, without bias and without favouritism.

This independence gives me a unique strength: I answer only to the people. And that is
exactly how leadership should work.

As Mayor, I will ensure every resident is treated fairly and that decisions are transparent,
ethical, and free from outside influence.

I am not a career politician but I understand how politics works, and more importantly,
how to use it for the right reasons. My politics is simple: by the people, for the people –
solving real problems, standing up for what’s right, and improving the lives of everyday
Mandurah residents.
